How to use · FAQ

How do I use it?

Tap the big number of the side that won the point — it goes up by one. Tapped the wrong one? Press Undo. You can also take a point away with −1.

Tap a team name to change it. When you change ends, press Swap sides — the name, color and score move with the team. Turn your phone sideways and press Full screen to read it from far away.

How does the game clock work? I pressed reset by mistake

Press Start clock and it counts up from 0:00. Press Pause to stop it. It works from the time you started instead of counting each second, so it shows the right time when you come back from another tab. In browsers that allow it, the screen stays on while the clock runs or the board is full screen — “Screen stays on” only shows when that is really the case.

Pressed “Reset score & clock” by mistake? Press Undo right away and the score and clock come back. The score lives only on this page and isn’t saved, so closing the page clears it.

Does it know tennis scoring, deuce or whose serve it is?

No — this web scoreboard only adds and takes away points. It doesn’t apply any sport’s rules.

The ImTheRef app does that and calls the score out loud: 15-30-40, deuce and tiebreaks in tennis and padel, serve turns in pickleball and badminton, and game, set and match points. It covers 8 sports — pickleball, tennis, padel, badminton, table tennis, squash, volleyball and jokgu — and keeps win/loss records for each sport.
